Two paramedics and two other people were hurt in a serious wreck this weekend in Missouri.
The Joachim Plattin Ambulance District said on Facebook ambulance 6067 was involved in the wreck Sunday on Interstate 55, north of Pevely. Joachim Plattin serves the residents of southeastern Jefferson County, south of St. Louis.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a 60-year-old woman was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee when she veered into another lane and struck the left side of the ambulance, KSDK-TV reported.
The ambulance then left the road, struck a guardrail, went into the grass median, struck the cable barrier and overturned.
The woman was arrested at the scene on suspicion of DWI and assault and was released to hospital staff.
