Three Volunteers Hurt in Connecticut Ambulance Crash

ROCKY HILL, Conn. —  Three volunteer members of the Rocky Hill Volunteer Ambulance Association were hurt when their rig was involved in a crash Thursday night, authorities said.

The ambulance was responding to a call when it was hit, Rocky Hill police said in a Facebook post. No patient was in the back.

The police and fire department responded to the scene and helped remove the crew from the rig. The ambulance crew was transported to the hospital.

Their injuries were described as minor and non-life threatening.

The driver of the vehicle involved also suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital, authorities said.

There is no word if any charges will be filed. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
