American Emergency Vehicles (AEV®), one of the nation’s top-selling ambulance brands to commercial EMS and municipal and volunteer fire departments, announces that Clifton Emergency Vehicle Group will represent AEV in much of the Southeast, in addition to their existing coverage across the Midwest. Clifton Emergency Vehicle Group is comprised of two of AEV’s largest dealerships, American Response Vehicles (ARV) and recently acquired Northwestern Emergency Vehicles, Inc. (NWEV), two highly experienced dealer organizations that have represented AEV for decades.

“Our family, along with our ARV dealerships, has proudly served the EMS community with AEV ambulances for the past 20 years. Our acquisition of Northwestern Emergency Vehicles, Inc. allows us to carry on the NWEV tradition of excellence in serving the Southeast,” said Blake Clifton, President of Clifton Emergency Vehicle Group and founder of ARV.

Clifton Emergency Vehicle Group goes to market as ARV in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Southwest Kentucky, Missouri, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. The Northwestern Emergency Vehicle dealerships cover Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, West Virginia, Virginia and Washington D.C.

“Along with my son, Ned Clifton, Executive Vice President, and Brett Holdiman, Vice President of Operations, and the existing family of employees at Northwestern, we are committed to upholding the strong and successful legacy that NWEV’s co-founder Richard Hamby began over 30 years ago,” added Clifton.

The ARV and NWEV dealerships provide sales and service for the complete portfolio of AEV® Type 1, 2, 3 and Medium-Duty emergency vehicles, authorized warranty repairs, preventative maintenance, custom graphics and wrapping, with onsite and mobile service capabilities, plus remounts.

“Clifton Emergency Vehicle Group’s acquisition of Northwestern Emergency Vehicles means that EMS customers can count on a seamless transition and continuation of professional, comprehensive care,” said Randy Barr, Director of Sales, AEV.
