Valley Stream (NY) Dedicates Ambulance to Late Chief

The Valley Stream Volunteer Fire Department gathered this week to dedicate Ambulance 349 in memory of Chief Michael Field.

Chief Field was a member of the rescue company for over 30 years and died last year after contracting COVID-19 after transporting a patient.

The department unveiled plaques on the firehouse and inside Ambulance 349 in memory of him.

His three sons, Steven, Richie and Jason, also broke a bottle of champagne in christening the ambulance.
