PADUCAH, Ky.—Several people were hurt when a Ballard County Ambulance Service van and a minivan collided early Monday.
The crash happened just after 12:30 a.m. on U.S. 60 and New Hold Road, according to KFVS-TV. The driver of the ambulance told police she was driving with the van’s emergency lights on, but the siren was not working.
The driver of the minivan told police he had a green light and continued through the intersection and did not see the ambulance until it was too late.
The driver of the ambulance and the patient were taken to the hospital. It is unclear how badly they were hurt or if any citations were issued.
